I will 8.x is no longer supported by Micky-Soft so no way will they allow auto-downgrade.
Now..... If his computer has a back up partition that's still 8.1 and something in the main partition crashes it and it somehow auto-reverts to back up .. Well.
But I'm not aware of any "Auto revert to back up" feature either.. Just manual recovery commands.
