Awaiting Shipping

How long do orders typicaly sit in this status? Did the holiday completely break fulfillment, or is CW just very slow? What are your experiences?

Customer Service can't tell me anything about the order other than it's 'awaiting shipping'. Thanks, I got that part ๐Ÿ˜‰

Glad you had a better experience. I'm sure that some percentage, probably the vast majority, ship right away and arrive quickly. What CW does poorly is communicate expected shipping dates and transit times. If they let the customers set the expectations, and CW doesn't meet the customers' arbitrary (and in some cases unreasonable) expectations, them you have unhappy customers.

I think that's where I fall. In absence of information, I assumed what I thought was reasonable and I was irked when it didn't happen. Maybe my assumption was unrealistic, I don't know. If CW had said up front 'ships in three days', I would've either accepted that timeline or ordered from another retailer.

I ordered two items on July 3, 2017 and they arrived on July 6, 2017 so I would say if in stock items are shipped as soon as possible plus the 4th didn't seem to impact my order.

The items I ordered increased in price 16% since I ordered them on Monday.

Yeah, pretty sure this will be my last CW order. Not that CW messed anything up, there are just other higher-performing retailers out there. Sometimes my time is more valuable to me than the savings.

I thought CW up dated their online shopping/shipping a year or 2 ago so things would be better....Wasted money

I'd rather pay a few more dollars and know Amazon is going to have it to my door when they say it is.

Yes a mid-week holiday can delay shipping. What date did your order get processed?
Most places charge your credit card the day the item is shipped.
Does Camping World provide a tracking number? Iv'e never ordered from them so I don't know. If they do, go to the shippers website and find out when your scheduled delivery is.

Could be the Holiday, I placed an order June 26, just received it today, 7/5, exactly one week after they billed my credit card.
