Before everyone loved Windows XP, they hated it

It wasn't meant to be this way. Windows XP, now no longer supported, wasn't meant to be popular. For all its popularity and sustained usage, people seem to have forgotten something important about it: it sucked.

That's no big deal. I use it now and have used it for the last 14-15 years. It still works just fine. You can download directly from your bank or CC to the program. Like I said it's a good check register program. I love it.

I still keep my checkbook in CHEX. CHEX is a DOS pgm and runs in a DOS window in XP. But alas, Win7, 8 and 8.1 will not run a DOS pgm. Even with the emulator.

I need a good Windows checkbook pgm. No, not Quicken.
Have you tried MS Money? It an excellent checkbook program. Nothing really fancy, just a good program.

Personally I loved XP when it came out. But then I'm always attracted to new shiny things. ๐Ÿ™‚

MS stopped producing and supporting Money over 2 years ago.

It sucks is a relative term.

Vista and the later versions were so bad they made it look good by comparison.

Happily I haven't had a need to use it for many years now.

XP still works on my desk top and I hope it stays that way.

I am just hoping Windows 9 is better than 8.x that I loathe.

Traded the old XP laptop in for a $100 credit on a Chrome Book. ๐Ÿ™‚

They have reported that all the big business, banks and the like running XP need not worry because they will continue to service them indefinitely.

If they are going to service all those XP computers you sure as heck know that all the info used to keep those running WILL leak out to the rest us by some genius hacker geek!

Those that hated it only had to see the later Windows versions to realize it wasn't so bad.
