Best price on Tailgater

Going to be ordering a Tailgater in the next few weeks. What does everyone have for a good price and a reputable place to buy from?

We had the 2ii receiver and the Tailgator...the receiver was replaced once and the antenna twice. Once we had a working antenna and receiver, I sold the mess. My opinion is look for better...not cheaper.

The Winegard Carry out G2 works great.

I ordered the Pathway X2/VIP211Z package from Winegard. Fortunately they mixed up the order and I received the K model. More options with the K and I'm going to look into hooking up the bedroom TV as BB TX described.

Camping World does sell the 211z seperately. There is a RCA to Coax adapter. That said I would go with a 211k if you can find one..

My first Tailgater failed in about 6 months and after I jumped through the warranty hoops King Controls sent me a new or rebuilt one. That one lasted about 14 months before it quit. out of Warranty I bought my third one from Camping World $349 because they offered a 3 year in store return warranty for $50...

Was told by techs that the Tailgater does not like sitting and they want you to use it every 3 months to keep it moving.....

Another difference between the two models is that the k has an input for an over the air antenna connection. This will permit the box to show the local over the air channels in the program guide. If you add an external hard drive you would be able to record the local OTA channels as you would the satellite channels.

You are correct. The 211z has HDMI and R/L audio/video outputs (not component) rather than the coax output the 211k has.
