Building a 3 Zone system

Question

I am currently looking at taking my 2 speaker audio system and trying to expand it to have 3 zones (Dining, Loft, Outdoor)

I am wondering the best way to go about doing this. I did pick up a 4 zone switch from RadioShack (The Source) but it really only wants to power 2 zones at ones, in testing.

Please do not turn this into a Outdoor Speakers vs. No Outdoor Speakers thread.

Yes that would be best. But I guess I could have only 2 at once ie Dining and outdoor
