Campground WIFI or prepaid MIFI
We're thinking of extending our winter stay next Jan/Feb by working from the camper but that means I'd need reliable internet (office type work not video streaming). To complicate matters we haven't even picked a state yet let alone campground (AZ or FL most likely). ;)
Our experience with campground WIFI so far has been it's fine as long as you don't want to depend on it which won't work this time. As we're Canadians roaming & cell hotspots from our carrier isn't an economical option so I was looking at prepaid MIFI from Verizon (they seem to be the network people talk up). I'd rather not have to drive to the public library every day, I might as well stay home if that's the case.
Is MIFI the way to go and forget about depending on campground WIFI? Is it viable for office work and skype phone calls or will I chew up my data plan by lunch time on the first day?
Thanks,
Art.
