Camping Word got me

Camping World got me,
I ordered a Magellan GPS refurbished unit that was on sale in a camping World. It arrived with the wrong wall charger and the 12 volt was such a poor quality it would not stay attached to the screen. The customer service No.# for Magellan is no longer in service. I called Camping World, they would not could not replace the chargers as the are a agent to sell the units not the manufacturer. New one for me. If I knew Camping World will not guarantee what they sell I would have Bought direct. Buyer beware.

It looks like I spoke to soon. No confirmation of shipping replacement charger. I was looking to order lawn chairs and lawn rocker, but I think it would be foolish at this point.

But as a big box retailer e-commerce or otherwise, they do not beat out their big cousins on pricing and shipping.

I got my "facts" based on items I use on a regular basis, not on a couple of select items.

FACT, nine out of ten items are cheaper at CW than Amazon. Members get free shipping on orders over $50, memberships are $27 per year. Amazon Prime members get free shipping on 'prime' items. Prime members pay $99 and soon to be $119 per year. The only reason I might use Amazon over CW would be poor planning and I needed something in two days. IMO, the only advantage Amazon has over CW, they have no forum for the disgruntled and the trolls to voice their "opinions".

They aren't all bad. The fliers and catalogs are decent sources of information on new items, making it easier to keep up to date on new items you may want to order on Amazon.

I'm also told the paper catalogs are great fire starters.
