Needing a new toilet for my motor home I went, yesterday, to CW, thinking their price would be competitive with other vendors. I was in no rush but chose a Dometic Model 320, It was time to convert from my troublesome Thedford.The member sale price was $289 plus an additional $50 to renew my membership. With sales tax I paid $366.09 before walking out the door.Today, while browsing Amazon, I checked their price. I was shocked to see that the same toilet was $185.88 plus tax (no shipping), making delivered price $202.61 with tax. Delivered price from Adventure RV is $185.88. What's even worse: I found it on RV parts world for $139.98. I felt like I just flushed $200+ down the toilet. Even CW on line listed it for $255.Camping World treated me fairly, but taught me a lesson. I had already installed the toilet I got from them but they let me return the one I later bought from RV Parts World, for a refund, except for the $50 membership fee.Edit: I actually wrote this post a few weeks back and decided not to post it until now, because I didn't want to get a store manager in hot water.

There is no doubt that what they did for you was fair treatment and should be recognized as such. Many companies would not have done that.But it at the same time has a bit of a sticky, feel to it. "Lets rampantly overcharge the customer with clearly non competitive pricing and only own up to it if we are found out and called on it..."I like CW stores for the most part and have had my problems with them and I have to say that in those cases they did the right thing by me.But I for one would appreciate lower, truly competitive pricing so that when I do walk through the door I don't have that nagging feeling that I am being taken advantage of price-wise.I am also aware that things can be ordered online but for those of us who full time that is not always a viable option.I would rather have the honesty and low prices upfront than on the back end of a problem.

There is no doubt that what they did for you was fair treatment and should be recognized as such. Many companies would not have done that.

Yes, I did. I even told them ahead of receiving the replacement that I would be returning a different one after the shipment arrived.

I have a long history with CW. I even did business with them when they were not promoting race cars, football bowls, etc.

Hope you didn't just get someone fired.

I do agree on the competitive pricing, but it's really hard to compete against the likes of Amazon. But, $100 more seems excessive. Unfortunately, I've come to realize that happens more than not, and when I am in CW, I will check for the same item on Amazon. If it's close, and I want it now, I'll buy it at CW. If not, I'll wait the day or two for Prime delivery.

I know when one is on the road, that's not always possible, but maybe in those cases, if you are at a campground, the owners would let you use their address for delivery.

Did I read CW has a price match policy? I know I read it and it was in an email add. Just not sure it it was only during the sales adds time frame or a new forever thing. If it's a policy that's good news. Just be sure to do a quick google search before making serious buys.

Few weeks ago I had to buy a new power trailer jack. CW online had it for a much lower price than the brick and mortar did but the store matched the online price for me. It was a significant price difference
