can't sign into E mail

My yahoo e-mail will not let me sign in. I haven't changed my password. I never sign out. My user name is my e-mail address and that hasn't changed. I tried calling yahoo and waiting on hold for one hour my call got dumped.:M I tried to do a system restore and that wouldn't work. I have system mechanics and that doesn't show any virus.

I am using windows eight.:( Never had problems with XP.
  • Just google it you will see they got hacked AGAIN.

This is the third time it has happened to my accounts with yahoo.
You will get scam emails and if you look up at the cc's you will actually see names of people you know.

Interestingly what I have seen is every time I get hacked the names on the cc all have facebook pages and are interactively connected.

And if you have joined facebook JUST to view a friends facebook but do not actively use a facebook account....you still are included in the hack.:( I fully believe it's connected to facebook.

You can change you password but it will happen over and over again.

I've since moved all my accounts to outlook. WHAT a difference. Open it up and there is your mail account in nano seconds.

NOT like the 20 minutes of a yahoo page loading with beiber kardashian******before you can get to click my mail.

Nor only has there been a "Break in" at Yahoo. but they have had server issues.

I would go the "Reset my password" route ... and you may wish to review your security questions.. Mine,, are,,, well, a bit strange, but then so am I :).
  • Yahoo's been having a lot of trouble with hackers and they're "encouraging" users to reset their passwords. You might be running in to something like that.

I had this happen with my Chrome account a couple of years ago- I knew the password was "right", but I couldn't get in. Finally just hit the "forgot my password" button and went through the "reset" routine that establishes one as the legitimate user of the account.

    No trouble since then.
