Copilot doesn't work with bluetooth

I was going to use my Copilot app as my navigation system, but when I plug my phone in to charge I can't get any sound through my vehicle.

It works fine if it isn't plugged in. Anyone know what I can do? At this point, that is useless to me, I don't want to run my phone completely down, but I really need to hear it through the sound system.

I am going to have to purchase a Garmin RV nav system, I guess you get what you pay for.

"works fine if isn't plugged in"

really makes me think the sound system is turning off BT on its side and choosing usb input, because it sense's a media device plugged in

i'm assuming that if she looks at the phone, BT is still turned on, but the pairing has disconnected
I can explain it to you.

I also think the issue is likely with your particular phone configuration or specific model. Not the app itself.

Howdy!

I plug mine in to 12v to charge it and it connects to my Bluetooth headphones or my hearing aids no problem. I don't use my sound system in the TV as it anoius my wife when traveling.

Plug it into charge where?
The USB port on your radio/sound system might charge, but it's priority's are for reading files and playing music, that shuts off the blue tooth, to receive sound thru the USB port
Get a 12v charge cord and use that to charge the phone, not the sound system usb Port
That should fix the problem

You are telling the sound system forget Bluetooth and use the USB port
It is connected to a media device
