DirecTV does not sell receivers, they lease them.Good point. Even if you think that you are buying them from a vendor you are not and they remain the property of DTV.

Thanks for the info! I know the front tv has hdmi but not sure about the bedroom one. Hard to get it out of cabinet to reach the back. It's about 7 years old. Anyone know if they were putting hdmi connections back then.

The Winegard Trav'ler is the only antenna that gets Directv HD. I installed the Trav'ler myself and it was pretty easy to do. I use the Genie system from my house with wireless mini-Genies at each TV. Great system. Uses HDMI, not coax. Each TV can have a different show on.
