We have had Dish since the mid 90's at home and when we full timed. We now take our dish receiver with us on the road. That gives us all the pre recorded shows and timers we normally have as well. Changing the service area is as mentioned a call or chat away, no limits. The only issue is to remind the person making the change to send you a "bump" to update the receiver, which must be on and hooked up to the proper satellite dish. When returning to home, same process. Make sure you specify service address only, not billing address.
