Dish Tailgater, pay as you go
Are you using a portable satellite with Dish pay as go you service? How is working for you? What products are you using? Where did you purchase them? Thanks!

1. When first setting up, run the cable directly from the antenna, through a window and then connect to the receiver box. Do not connect to your RV 'sat in' connection as there may be switches, etc between that connection and the receiver box. After setting up for the first time, try going to the 'sat in' connection and see if it still works OK.
2. I strongly suggest getting the dedicated tripod for the X2. The manual states that more then 2 inches of water could damage the electronics. That has happened to me at least twice - the tripod saved me.
3. I have the DISHFORMYRV app on my Iphone. $10 and works great. It will show where both sets of satellites are located when you use your phone in camera mode and hold it up to the sky. This will allow you to place the antenna in a location with the best access to them.
I thought the X2 was finding satellites automatically? or are you just using the phone deal as a compass?
