- old_guyExplorerwe get colder weather than that and I leave ours in the TT all year round and they work fine when I turn them on
- ksg5000ExplorerIf it's easy to remove then I would remove it - cold/damp/electronics aren't a great combo. On more than one occasion some of my stuff wouldn't turn on until it warmed up/dried out ... suppose that's a safety feature. Just my 02.
- marcarolleExplorerThanks all. I appreciate your help and experience. Space being limited in the house, I will leave them in the TT.
- wa8yxmExplorer IIILet me put it this way:
Before I went full time... I DID
and now that I'm full time: I still do. only I go south. - Sandia_ManExplorer IIWe leave all the equipment in our entertainment center in our rig 24/7 with the exception of taking our HD sat receivers back and forth from our home. That got old and we have purchased HD sat receivers that stay in our rig fulltime, of course we never attempt to use any of our AV equipment when they are anywhere near freezing temps. Nothing wrong with bringing them in either, which would be easy for us since we store our rig next to our home.
- BB_TXNomadCheck your manuals. Most specify min/max operating temp ranges and min/max storage temp ranges.
- BobboExplorer IILeave them in.
- Dutch_12078Explorer IILeave them in the TT unless there are security issues. Freezing whether will not bother them. TV's don't get to the stores in heated trucks...
- joebedfordNomad IILeave them in the TT. We generally take ours south for the winter (best solution) but they've been exposed to many days of below 0C including all last winter without problem.
