Driver Turbo Program?

Question

Is this a safe program to use to update the drivers on our Windows 10 computer? Doesn't Microsoft update drivers automatically? My husband downloaded it a few days ago because his brother told him to when Skype was not working.
The Driver Turbo program pops up every time I use computer and tells me that xx number of drivers are out of date, and it will update them for me. I am skeptical about it. Should I delete the program?

Delete it absolutely. It's a scam or worse some sort of virus.  Drivers are loaded by Windows itself via Windows Update, or by the product manufacturer's software.

Microsoft does not update drivers automatically for non-microsoft software.
Graphics cards, printers, peripherals, etc.

This program will scan your computer for all installed drivers and tell you if they are up to date or not. Then you can decide what to do from there.

It is considered safe IF you downloaded the program from it's source or from a place like softronics, cnet or filehippo.

Windows will automatically download any available drivers that have been WHQL
'signed' by them as suitable. Most manufacturers are part of that submission program and important driver updates are all submitted and distributed through windows update.

There are several levels of risk in using this Turbo program, and essentially no advantages even if it is honest. Get rid of it is my $0.02s worth.
