Find a photo host site. Upload photo. Copy URL from site. Paste URL into this forums picture posting box. Simple as can be! :)

Not as simple as just pasting a pic into your post. I have no use for a cloud based photo hosting site.
If you can drag-n-drop a photo from your PC, or select a photo from your smartphone/tablet gallery, and copy/paste the provided code into your post, then you can easily include photos in your post. Takes me on average just 10-15 secs to do so. No membership required. Which is the reason I wrote this Javascript forum photo upload/posting app(bit.ly/photo-upload). - SongbirdsExplorerFACEBOOK group moderator here. Now I am no big expert on all Facebook Groups as I have created a few groups one called USA RV CAMPING GROUP !!! I have posted some helpful and interesting topics for most all RV'ers. As you have said YES very true Facebook started slowly over the last two years in the area of RV. But camping groups are growing fast and on FACEBOOK. Some members do not seem to understand a PAGE form a GROUP. It's simple when you become a Facebook member you are asked to create, what I call your "LINK" or Facebook was say a Profile Page. Now a Company or Organization can also create a PAGE and the only pictures and topics are what then or you want added to your page or permit onto your page. A group is MORE interactive than a PAGE as each person who joins a group can interact with others on posted topics. A "PAGE" or "Profile Page" will show only one picture to show you that it is a PAGE. When viewing a list of both groups, profile and pages you view only one picture of the owner. A Group will show you two to four pictures in the same picture square of the group owners. Now about what I call a LINK, each person is a link and every added friend becomes a link to them. forming a CHAIN of confections over time and the same is true with a PAGE when you "LIKE" it and want more information about the Company or Organization. it is only a link of LIKES some may 20 links and another may have a million LIKES. LIKES, now a person can at anytime change this like to unlike. Companies and organization's have likes. In a GROUP each member joins is an added link. But the GROUP has only three link called TAGS and each group can only have there TAGS in the chain or the connection to a follow of information. Again you can learn more at my group "USA RV CAMPING GROUP". Thanks for letting me share this with you and I hope to see you soon on Facebook so please say hello when you arrive so together we can exchange information about USA RV and Camping.

Actually no
Facebook recently changed the internal setting of how Facebooks videos are posted by subscribers, now rather then the user posted video playing when you click on it. The video auto-plays.
This is a real problem for RVers using Facebook on their MiFi, as the videos are consuming the band-width they are paying for, even though they don't want them played. - 1775ExplorerThere are so many Facebook groups and the active ones are full of discussions. It all depends upon what you are interested in. If you want to talk and share about RVs, this is a good group -
https://www.facebook.com/groups/rvtips/ - docjExplorerIn the past couple of weeks I've joined several FB RV groups, some for full-timers and some that are general interest. Many of the people in those groups do not act as if they are familiar with or participants in this or other online forums, although I'm sure some are. I agree that the the "timeline" format of FB groups makes it difficult to find previously posted information so there is a lot of repetition, but there is on these forums also because many people post new topics rather than searching previous posts.
One thing I have noticed is that the speed of response on these groups is much faster than for typical forum posts. And there are definitely lots of people using them. I think both these forums and FB have a role; if you don't like FB that's fine but recognize that there's a lot of information on it that's not being posted here. - SCVJeffExplorer

Johns group is new but growing all the time. And he gets allot of his material for his group and the Podcast show from these forms as well.
Don't get me wrong. I love the forums, but I'm a member of the "Living the RV Dream" group and get tons of good info there too. I think they have about 4k members or so. Was just wondering if there were more out there.
Thanks,

There are many issues with facebook, -- snip --
they decide how you see messages presented every time you log in for the first time of the day, You have to re-set your preference on that EVERY time 1 time of the day.
Facebook stores your setup in the form of cookies and it sounds like you are deleting cookies when you shut down the computer.
They auto-play videos you are not the least interested in,
Those videos are ads and AdBlock Plus eliminates them.
THEY send a reply when you only meant to get a NEW LINE.
"Shift+Enter" gives a New Line without sending the comment (also works in "chat"). - SpappyExplorerWow... This went in an entirely different direction. lol I love the forums and also use a few others. Haven't actually found one better than this one. I participate in a few. PM me if you have other good ones. It's all good information to me.
As for Facebook, just like everything it has it's ups and downs. All personal preference. Truth be told - a ton of people use it. There is never a shortage of discussion in the groups I belong to. That's all I'm looking for is discussion with like minded people. :)
As you can see by this post, this is where I ask most of my questions.

How, exactly, do you have non-cloud based photo hosting site? :)
Not as simple as just pasting a pic into your post. I have no use for a cloud based photo hosting site. - OldRadiosExplorerFacebook is really not a good format for discussions. Harder to search and the layout is really more of a a time line. It's OK if you want to post the "Look at my RV" photos. I'll stick with the forum format for questions, answers, and feedback.
