FibAire internet service

Returning from AZ from our winter stay we stayed at a camp ground that had FibAire internet service. I would say it was twice as fast of any I have ever tried. Anyone have any experience with this type of internet? http://www.azci.net/fibaire.htm
  • It sounds similar to the internet service I have at my stick house. There's a fixed antenna (similar to the small dishes used by satellite providers) on my roof that is pointed at another antenna on a hill on the other side of the valley from me. It's essentially long-range wifi. However, the FibAire service is far less expensive and offers greater speeds then the service I have.
  • That is the system that they have at the SKP Park ( Rovers Roost ) in Casa Grande AZ and we have used it for two winters while there and all I can say is that it works great matter of fact as good as the cable internet that we have at home Fred
  • Hi,

I was looking at their coverage maps which appear to be small circles. It is not intended for a moving vehicle. My choice of spot beam is most probably incorrect terminology. Sorry if I muddied the waters.
  • quote from the website "AireBeam Broadband Broadband Internet covers most of Pinal County, AZ. We deliver it to your home or office wirelessly to an antenna and electronics package that we install on the highest point on your roof and aim it to one of our many nearby cell sites."

    Hi,

It is a spot beam system. Not much coverage (yet).

The link above does not describe a sat system, could you provide a link?
