Firefox 26

I just received a message in my Yahoo email that recommended to upgrade my Firefox to Firefox26.

I then went to help in Firefox to see what version I was running. When I did that Firefox started to upgrade me to 26 without allowing me to decide if I wanted to or not.

Anyway I can not get Firefox with 26 to work at all.

I am using Google which is running much better than even Firfox25 did. Had not used Google for about a year. Much better than I remember from a year ago.

    No problems with FF26. Must be a glitch of some kind in your computer.

    Humm.. This poor computer gets poorer and poorer every patch tuesday. And we had 2 of 'em this week.

    Firefox 26.0 however is.. What I'm typing this reply in so it's working.

    Firefox is getting kind of large, i would like to see them compress it some.

    No problems here running Firefox version 26.0 with operating System Windows 7 Professional.

    i assume you mean Chrome browser from google

    if your happy with it ? keep it

    if not follow the posted info, uninstsll ff26 and install ff25 Or earlier
    turn off 'auto update'
    set updaate to notify 'let me choose'

    I went to look and I see I have 26 installed. Don't know when it happened and I have not noticed any changes. I am running Win 8.1.

    You can uninstall it, but keep your current profile files, and install Firefox Setup 25.0.1.

    In Firefox menu, go to Tools>Options>Advanced and click the Update tab. Check the radio button for "Check for update, but let me choose whether to install them". Click OK.

    Try rebooting your computer from a cold (completely) off restart. See if that helps.

    If you're on a laptop, pull the battery and unplug it for a few seconds. This will definitely clear all random memory.
