Found the antenna strength signal on a Vizio!

I finally found where they hide the signal strength signal on a Vizio TV.

Go to info button, which tells you about the program you are watching. 'Hit the button a second time' and voila.....THAT is where they hide the signal strength meter. :R

Which means you can only tell what the signal strength is for each channel IF you can even get it tuned in as you try to dial the antenna in. What were they thinkin?

For $40 you can get one of these to do the whole thing for you. This will work for any RV/TT/Home -

It is portable and easily connected.

CORRECTION: You have to click the info button 'three' times.

On my TV there is NO antenna strength available thru any where's within the menu. On another thread I read that other owners had the same problem finding it. Which is why I posted it.

I have 3 other brand TV's and on all of them the signal strength is within the menu. Gee, where it should be.

On my Vizio it is not in the menu, it is hidden in a 3 click of a channel info button. :R

Which IMHO for 'RV'ers' is worthless because when you pull into a CG when traveling you have no idea of what the call letters/numbers are of the channels! That is why a signal strength meter is important to us. To dial in the antenna to be able to see what the channels are!!:B

So make that 2 things to find out 'before' you buy these digital flat screens.

1. IS there a signal strength meter with in the menu.
2. Do you get a black screen when you stand off to the side or from below like when you are on the coach in an RV looking up.

If I click 'info' button...channel number comes up.
Push it second time.....the name program comes up, time frame etc.
Push it a third time..description of program comes up

BUT if I want to check signal strength
Menus then HELP then System Info then scroll down to Signal Quality

That is also where it is on my 39" E390-B0 Vizio TV so it's not in a standard place like the OP thinks. On that TV info once gives channel info, twice adds program info and third goes back to TV (i.e. exits the sub screen).

On my 42" LG its in the tuning section and you have to go to manual tuning to see the signal strength and from that screen you can also scroll thru the channels.

Nothing like that on my Vizio but I will keep looking!
What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
