Well let me revise my 1st post, yes many cable companies are already internet providers and will still be in the game for some time, as for me I have unlimited wifi up to 10 gig speed for $35 per month, with this I have Roko box on every TV and download all programs, movies, news, etc, etc for pennies on the dollar compared to Direct TV I use to have that cost $80 a month for a basic package of garbage and lots of commercials, I also have a good digital antennae on house to get up to 30 free channels here in the Vegas area, I also have Roko on the 2 TV's in my RV and a digital antennae as well.
The only thing lacking is on the road low cost unlimited wifi, however Google and some other providers are going to be offering this in the future and when they do that will be the final nail in the coffin for many cable providers.
We are saving about $1000 per year by going this route, as to wifi cost I would have had that anyways, as to movies on the road in RV well I am not a heavy TV watcher so the digital antennae is just fine and I use the free cable at the parks and their free wifi.
Once you go to Netflix or Amazon or many others that offer thousands of programs at 10th the cost of cable you to will cancel your cable/satellite..
