- 5er4everExplorerExport & email the file to yourself and place it into a web based email folder to do your part filling the ozone layers. It will be there when you need the list.

EXPORT makes a copy in Yahoo CSV format, which can easily be restored. It does "not" delete them. It is the way to backup your contacts. - 2oldmanExplorer II

Copy them.. to what? You don't want to export them to a storage device?

I don't understand backing them up anyway.. isn't this stuff always out there? - closurdoExplorerExcel can open CSV format files (comma separated values) natively.
- haydoracinExplorermr.ed_ I just experimented a little and if you do what 1492 described only select "print all.." instead of "export" and then hit cancel it leaves you with an untitled document that I was able to copy and paste into excel and word. Give it a try.

The only way to back them up is to export them. The only way to copy them is to export them. You can't drag and drop them, nor can you right click a contact and paste it somewhere else.
Export is the way to go.

I've been thinking about this for my contacts which are in Gmail. Writing them down isn't really an option as there are just over 400 of them
I typed BACKUP YAHOO CONTACTS into Google and it came up with lots postings. Here's one site that covers Outlook, Gmail & Yahoo.
Backup Contacts
I haven't tried it yet. Usually when I try something like this I have problems so I find it helpful to read through several of the sites.
Good luck.

I'd like to back up my contact list. Can you advise? Thank you.
To backup your Yahoo Mail contacts, just Export them in Yahoo CSV format:- Click the Contacts icon.
- Click Actions, and select Export.
- Select "Yahoo CSV", and click Export Now.
To restore your contacts, just click the Import tab. - Click the Contacts icon.
- louiskathyExplorerBack it up into your computer (note what file you save it to) and see if you can get it to open in an Excel spreadsheet. I think it told me exactly what formats would work in different programs.
I just did this yesterday and it was really easy to do.
Once it was on the Excel spreadsheet it was easy to delete and change info.
Then I went into my gmail acct (that I rarely use for sending out email) and I deleted my address book in gmail.
Then I imported my yahoo/ATT contacts over to gmail.
Checked to be sure they were all there... - haydoracinExplorerDon't know what all equipment you have but they can be synced to your smart phone or tablet. They can also be backed up to the Cloud.
