How far north will the winegard Carryout work with directv?
How far north will the winegard Carryout work with directv? Just curious, we are going to Alaska and will have it with us. Thanks. dreamer.

There certainly is reception of DirecTV in Canada with a Carryout style antenna. Not very far, but it certainly is available. Our dome worked in Lake Louise, Calgary, Banff and the entire Highway 2 between BC and Calgary. It also worked in Eastern Canada from Toronto to Nova Scotia.
While in Lake Louise my dome had a signal strength of 60 while the open faced antenna next door still had an 80+ signal. So while I could not have gone much farther North, the open face antenna certainly could.
