Use a very small screwdriver. Slide it in where the tab is located to see if you can depress it enough to pop it loose.

I don't recall ever having that problem with mine. I'll check it out tomorrow.

I messed mine up. I fixed it back the way it came. I now no longer un-plug from the dish. I coil the cables up and store in that manner.
Winegard needs to revise this connection.

I had the same problem. I now just keep it plugged in and coil the cords up and place them on top of the Carryout. To prevent the cable from pulling out of the connector I tie wrapped both cables to the handle. Agree, it is a poor design.

On another note-does your carryout make noise like it is trying to find satellites every 15 minutes or so? This happens to mine even after it has found the satellites. Asked a Winegard tech and he was no help. It is annoying.

Have the same issue, poor deign! Really hard when it is cold!!! Started having connection problems, even though I don't pull on the wire, it is coming loose. I contacted Winegard at help@winegard.com and they are sending me a new one.

Same method I use on ours. Works fine.

I leave my cables attached and just roll them up when storing the carryout.

I ended up replacing the plug with a two prong connector. I just took an old sponge and stuffed it into the hole where the plug is.

Poor design for sure.

Yes, mine does the same thing. As to the other question I just coil the wires up around the Carry out, never unhook the wires.

If you ever put the antenna up on top of your bedroom slide out, that noise will give you something to talk about for several days until you figure it out. LOL!
