How to create a route in Google Maps & use in CoPilot

I've tried searching for answers, but have been unable to find clear, simple instructions.

I want to create a route in Google Maps on my laptop and then transfer it to CoPilot on my android phone. Has anyone done this, and can you walk me through it? Thanks for any help.

Strollin, thanks for the response. I've read those instructions, but can get no further than creating the route in Maps. Can't figure out how/where to save it and then export to PC as .kml file. Hopefully, you can provide a few more detailed instructions to help this tech-challenged geezer!

It's not exactly straight forward but I've used this method and it works: Import Google Map route into Co-Pilot

On my iPad CoPilot I save to favorites my next stop for fuel,restaurant,campground, destination etc.
Then at every stop I put the next one in as destination.

It doesn't need a complete route to get where you are going.
