IE-10/attaching files/photos problems

I have a new Samsung laptop with Win7 Home Premium/64 bits and use IE-10 as a brouser. I've used Yahoo Mail since '04 and never had any problems sending pictures or docs with XP/Vista. I use a Verizon Jetpack 4620. We now have 4G. For a long time I thought Yahoo Mail was the culprit. Then I felt it was Verizon. Today I tried to send a picture in an e-mail. The little attachment 'wheel' just spins and spins--forever! So I open Chrome. The picture attaches in 10 sec.!
What am I missing, or is IE-10 still a 'work in progress'? Is there a setting that I need a change? Thanks. Jim
  • In my IT business I've been running across quite a few site compatibility problems with IE 10. I'd recommend going to Control Panel, Programs & Features, click on "Turn Windows Features On or Off" on the upper left, then remove the check in the box next to "Internet Explorer 10". It will then probably require a reboot and then you'll be back to IE9.
  • Guess I'll just stupidly stay with 10 and hope they get it fixed eventually. Appreciate your replies anyway. jim
  • IE10 has some problems with mail attachments in Hotmail replacent and others.

Going back to IE9 might be the easiest fix for you for now. I use some work-arounds to find certain picture folders using new Outlook and IE10.
  • I use FireFox when accessing Google's Gmail. In my opinion, Gmail plays better with FireFox than IE.

    Try installing a 2nd browser.
