I have had my Acer Chromebook for about 4 months now and I love it. It is what it is, and in my case it does what I want. All of the pros and cons above are pretty much right on. I have not used the Google Drive storage and I do not intend to, simply because I don't need it. I have downloaded a few pictures and transferred them to a memory stick.
OP - scrolling can be done with two finger on the scroll pad, but I usually use my wireless mouse, and it then works like any computer.
Good, inexpensive choice, if it fits your needs.
