Most modern automotive DVD players will not play a DVD unless your vehicle is not moving. Since a 5th wheel does not have a parking break to hook the DVD players sense wire to the player would always think the vehicle is in motion and thus not allow a DVD to be played. Companies sell bypass adapters that trick the DVD player into thinking the car is stopped at all times.
My question is whether the player will work fine in a 5th wheel without use of a bypass adapter if playing DVD's only on an external television.
