iOS 9

I have downloaded this on my iPad mini but have not yet installed as I saw on the news today that there has already been the 9.1 released to correct problems with 9.

My question: do I have to go ahead & install 9 before the date of 9.1 will show available? Right now it isn't showing up, but thought it might not until tomorrow or so.

A number of program/security flaws and patch fixes are common for new releases to both Apple and Windows OS. BTW, Apple long ago dropped their claim that their OS is resistant to malware, and suggests using additional security apps for increased protection. Though both Windows and Apple OS come with basic malware protection included.

I generally stay away from OS upgrades during their initial release, both Apple and Windows, as flaws tend to show up with a wide release not apparent in beta. iOS 9 is no exception.

Funny, Apple calls these updates, yet all they are fixes to security issues and programs.
Be ready for a couple more in the near future.
Your "bullseye" post makes no more sense than this one. Who cares if it's called a "patch", "update", fix, or bandaid. Looking at your other posts it appears that you are somewhat technical So with your posts about Microsofts patch schedule, why are you making such silly comments? It's fixed when it's fixed, hopefully ASAP, done...

Wow, you're really fishing for an attaboy, aren't you?

Seriously, anyone (except maybe you) realizes that with software complexity being what it is today, this is the norm. Microsoft has released like a thousand security updates and bug fixes for Windows 10 since its release.

I did that! Now I seem to have to restart my iPad more often because it starts bogging down.

Do you ever clear the cookies and history from Safari? That might help if you haven't.

Go to Settings, scroll down to Safari, choose it and then scroll again to the bottom and clear the history and cookies.

While it has been publicized on other Apple related sites, it might be worth adding here. OS9 has a setting called WiFi Assist (under settings / Cellular and scroll to the bottom.) This defaults to on, and will use your cell data to speed up poor WiFi connections. While useful, the overage it can cause could present surprises on your next data bill if you have a low MB allowance. It can be switched off...

One thing i have noticed is that at least for the Titantv.com website (a free tv guide) that i can no longer click on a program and get details. Apparently its their new super aggressive ad removal tools that Apple is taking allot of heat over from these ad flooding people. Hope Titantv.com figures it out

Thanks! That stinking curser really made a chore out of correcting

That image mark up is pretty neat. Wondered how folks put extra stuff on a pic. This makes it super easy.
