Has anyone had the battery replaced in their iPhone at an Apple store? My iPhone 6 doesn't hold a charge very well at all anymore and has crashed a few times. Battery life is down to 83% and the performance management has been activated. Is the special battery price still available? Also when they remove the battery does that erase everything on your phone? Hope not because my cloud has been full for a few years now and I couldn't retrieve anything if I wanted to.

Batteries plus has them for 69. And a couple for ten off so would be 59.00

It won't erase anything on the phone, but you should do a backup of it just in case.

Both times it helped some but I seem to need to do it once every year or so. Back up the phone .. Mine was fine both times but you risk a lot. Apple asks several times if your backed up and they checked mine to be sure the backup was current before they agreed to do it.Increase you iCloud size $$ or back up to a computer

You should back the thing up before you do anything. If you need to get more iCloud storage do it. 99 cents a month is worth every penny.

Apple's $29 battery replacement through end of this year. Take damages your phone during repair, of it. Backup your phone before service. If Apple damages your phone during repair, they will replace it with a refurbished model, but not your content.

Back it up on your computer or buy more cloud storage for .99 a month just to be safe before getting the battery replaced.

I have changed the glass & digitizer on an iphone 5c. It is very
difficult to handle the very tiny screws. The battery is glued in and tough to pry off. I lost no data and it worked all a ok.
The next time, I will have it done by Apple !!!

Just switched from a 5 to an 8. Very easy to transfer all data, music etc. You are close to expected life span. Upgrade IMO.

Apple will replace your battery for $29 thru December. They recommend you call for an appointment.
