I have an iPod 2nd gen (reject from kids !).
It is almost as good as a door knob, because of discontinued support. No more app installs/updates.
The 2nd generation iPod is 11 years old - released in July 2002. Many Android devices are obsolete as far as new operating systems as soon as they are released.
The original Nexus 7 was of questionable build quality. The 2013 version is much better.
