Lenovo Yoga

I'm putting together my Christmas list for Santa and I'm considering the Lenovo Yoga 2 (13") or the Yoga 2 Pro. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with either of these two models.
  • No direct experience but the Pro model has similar specs to my MS Surface Pro 3 which I love. Best of both worlds, tablet or laptop.

There are quite a few options, which particular model were you considering? What will you use it for?
  • Using the Yoga 2 13" good battery life, light weight so far I like it.
  • I looked at the Lenovo Yoga, but passed in favor of the similar DELL XPS12. Been flawless so far.
  • Lenovo provides by far the highest level of customer service of any Wintel vendor. Hold time has been under 2 minutes and I talk to someone based in Atlanta instead of trying to understand the low level support person based in Mumbai (as with Dell). HP is also much better than Dell but not as good for consumer grade computers as Lenovo. No US company has been more aggressive in outsourcing ALL its jobs overseas nor more aggressive in avoiding paying corporate income taxes in this country (though Apple is equally deficient in this respect).
  • Actually, I should clarify that I snagged my DELL XPS12 for 40% off as it was returned new at a local computer superstore, but with a WIN 8 boot issue. Just the type of situation I look for, as it was an easy Windows fix. No OS restore or repair needed. Didn't come with a restore DVD anyway, as it only has an SSD drive. Was not a DELL hardware issue, and has worked flawlessly since. Plus, came with a 15 month warranty when I registered it with DELL.

Also found an immaculate $500+ 24" HP wide-gamut, higher than full HD native rez PC monitor for $59., which was returned by the purchaser as would not display under WIN 7. Another five minute fix, and stunningly beautiful running with WIN 7 Pro with no issues at all.

Don't know about customer support for either DELL or HP as have never contacted either of them. But did have the best service and response for a defective laptop under warranty with IBM, a US company, before the brand was sold to China based holding company Lenovo.
