Hi Jim,
So they did not add more transponders per tower to account for the greater rangeÉ
Transponders may allow more individual connections to the tower. The link the tower has to their network, thus the Internet, is a separate item. If they don't increase that, they are effectively trying to force more cars into a fixed tunnel. They need to make the tunnel bigger as well. - pianotunaNomad IIIHi Jim,

The problem with band 12 is the area it covers. Yes it's great for T-Mobile to be able to say that they have that much area covered with a single tower but what they don't tell you is that you are competing with everyone else in that area. That's fine out in the cornfields or up in the mountains where population is sparse but in a major city it means overloaded back hauls at peak times. I just don't use my TMO during rush hour. - JiminDenverExplorer II

The rest of the streaming stuff I would never need so it is useless to me.
- pianotunaNomad IIIMillenicom was Sprint and Verizon.
T-Mobile is #2 for coverage if you have a band 12 device. - GoPackGoExplorerI'm with Bill.
- Bill_SatelliteExplorer IIMillenicom is NOT BACK. Verizon unlimited was Millenicom. Anything short of that is simply the ugly step-sister of their plan.
Too many folks got burned by Millenicom (and Karma) and even if they said I would get whatever I wanted where ever I wanted it I would not believe them.
It seems that these secondary re-sellers find a loophole, offer it to everyone, collect the fees as long as possible and then get shut down for improper practices. I was a big proponent of the original Millenicom plan and some family and very good friends got burnt. I am not doing that again unless they offer Verizon again in the future including a service guarantee like I currently have with Sprint. - 1492Moderator

Their accounts are not unlimited high-speed (LTE). They are Unlimited NON-LTE, and give you up to 22G of LTE depending on how much you want to pay.
This is essentially the same deal that T-Mobile is offering direct.
I don't know about Millencom T-Mobile accounts, as mine is using a different ISP using T-Mobile 4G LTE enhanced service. Though my plan is unlimited, unthrottled 4G hotspot, speeds can vary as it's a second tier provider. Meaning T-Mobile direct customers get 4G speed priority. - GoPackGoExplorerI am one of the old Millenicom customers and also just got the new email.
I was REALLY hoping that somehow, they would be again using the Verizon system as that is the only one I've found that works everywhere I travel in my full timing life.
The main reason I originally signed on with Millenicom is because they were a re-seller of Verizon.
Verizon is giving us Millenicom orphans 20 Gigs for $100 and I guess I'll stay with that. Good coverage is more important to me then saving a few bucks.
Thanks Millenicom but no thanks. T-Mobile won't cut it. - JiminDenverExplorer III have a Z915 on T-Mobile, not unlimited though, just 5 gigs and Binge on. It's a pretty decent hotspot, good battery life, easy to change settings. TMO coverage can get congested here, was absent for one trip in the hills and wonderful in the cornfields of Michigan.
