New satellite dish

I've been having more difficulty than usual with my big DTV dish, mainly because 3 different alignment sources show 3 different settings. Azimuth 10° one way or another is no biggie, but a 3° difference in elevation is. I find the zip code entry on the receiver to be more accurate.

Sometimes I can do it in 1 minute, other times I can struggle a half-hour and still not find it. If that happens I move the tripod and start over.

And it seems like I have to 'sweep' much slower now as I keep thinking the receiver isn't responding as fast as it used to. I was told I was hallucinating, but it sure seems like it.

Up to just this past summer when we acquired another rig where the owner threw in both King Pro Directv and Dish domes, we would manually set up our own satellite antenna, always using the same version mounted at home. Sure there is a learning curve, but after a couple of decades I could set it up in the dark among towering ponderosa pines.

Really pretty easy, first and foremost, plumb the mast, pop on antenna, use compass and sat receiver to quickly dial in. Takes more time to get tripod and antenna out of storage bay than anything else, Dish takes longer as receiver is not as quick to respond to antenna adjustments. Takes about 10 minutes tops for programming to begin downloading process, I do this while DW sets up interior upon arrival.

For the most part we use the King Dish dome installing it in a special mount that allows for quick removal should we have some obstacle blocking signal access. We have accepted dome shortcomings of slower access to subscribed content, 1 HD and 1 SD output, and quicker signal loss due to inclement weather. We still carry residential antenna and tripod just in case.

The tripod looks flimsy and easily blown over in wind. It's not just about aiming it, it's keeping it aimed. Get a better one.

The DTV setup shows only one tuner. Not sure what's going on there.

Sorry but it just doesn't appear to be a better mouse trap.

The video looks like a couple of geezers in some retirement RV park decided to invent the better mouse trap. It's not as major a project to align a 3 LNB dish as the guy claims, but he is trying to sell an overpriced pile of equipment.

That is not a single LNB antenna that has to move between different satellites for different channels like a dome is required to do. The antenna shown is a triple LNB setup for DISH or DirecTV (pick one) that automatically aligns the antenna to reception of all 3 simultaneously.

What is the point?

By the time you spend the time and effort to set up a dish on a tripod that automatically aims itself to different birds, why wouldn't you just set up a 3 LNB dish such as a Dish 1000.2 or better yet a 1000.4 if you can find one, on a tripod, and manually align it one time? The same amount of work and effort and hits all 3 birds used at the same time for less than $150.

Then it's just a matter of having the correct wiring inside the RV to use whichever recievers you care to.

So you can watch two TVs at the same time on not only different channels but different satellites. Also with Dish with two Wallys seems to be a little quirky and you can watch two TVs but only on the same Satellite.

Why would I want to put all the parts together when I can have a dome and two Wally for about $450. His product appears to cost over$1000.
