Problem with Quicken 2014

We can't print anything from the program. Printer works fine with other programs. When we attempt to print we select the printer, selt print, hear a tone and nothing prints.
Any recommendations?

I just upgraded to Q14 from Q12 and have not experienced any of the problems related in this thread. I WAS having problems with transfers between accounts in Q12 which is why I upgraded.

I encourage you to avoid Quicken 2014 at this time. Consider moving to Quicken 2013. Quicken 2013 is far less problematic and readily available.

Go to their support forum. Much more responsive.

then I would backup your data file(s) and then uninstall and re-install quicken.

You have to do a windows explorer search for the file titled "wpr.dat". When you find it, delete it, and restart Quicken.

Quicken will regenerate the wpr.dat file with your printer settings.

•Windows 7 or Vista •Right-click the Windows Start button, and select Explore.
•Select the Organize menu, and select Folder and Search Options.
•Click the View tab and select Show hidden files and folders (located under Files and Folders > Hidden Files and folders.
•Click OK.
•Navigate to: •Windows 7: Local Disk (C:) > Users > Appdata >Roaming > Intuit > Quicken > Config
•Windows Vista: Local Disk (C:) > Program Data > Intuit > Quicken > Config.

•Right-click on wpr.dat and select Delete.
•Reopen Quicken.

if you can't print anything your problem is not with Quicken. uninstall and re-install the printer.

What version of windows are you using? win 7?, win 8? win 8.1? or are you using a Mac? This might help to know.

Each year I receive offers for 50% off to upgrade, and each time I read the reviews on amazon, then I elect to pass. Way too many bad reviews for me, so I'll sit on Q2011 indefinitely. Yes, I'm not helping with your printer issue, sorry, have no suggestion other than to perhaps contact their support and see if they can resolve.

We have also found good help in the past from Quicken via-email. We are using Quicken 2012 with no problems.

We had to switch to Quicken 2014 because Quicken 2011 was corrupting our investment data and the budget package wouldn't work.

After a couple of odd things the first day, QW2014 has been fine for the last couple of weeks.

At least if you're using the American version, you can expect several updates. We Canadians might get one. There were NO updates for bug riddled QW2011.
