Question about Dome Satellite

For those of you who have roof mounted a Winegard Carryout Dome antenna, do you turn off the power inserter when you travel or just leave it turned on? If you leave it on, does it continue to try to lock on to a satellite while you’re moving?
Any tips about using it? Thanks!

You want to power it off when traveling. The receiver will be off as well so there's no reason to leave the dome powered up.
