Question

Is it possible to tap the hot wire AFTER the switch but BEFORE the dimmer slider?I want to put an indicator light on it, but don't want the indicator light to dim with the slider.

In theory, yes, but it depends how those 2 are actually wired from the back.

If this is the one off amazon with 3 wires coming out of a sealed backing then no. If you can take the screw(s) out and remove the back and show a picture of that someone may be able to help.

Alas, it isn't worth taking the thing off the wall for that, just to see if it is feasible. Thanks anyway.
