Really Happy With My New Garmin GPS

I got my new Garmin (RV 760LMT w/ backup camera) and am really pleased with the way it operates! I have thrown my old TomTom in the trash. TomTom's software is so glitch and not well thought out, plus their customer service sucks!

Now to get the backup camera installed on the back of the old Lance and I'll be cooking!

Need to learn the "Voice Commands" Lifetime Maps and Traffic are other bonuses.
  • A GPS is no better than the data the company put into it and that data is no better than the data from the sources (Cities, Counties, States etc,). If a roadway is 'dedicated' and plotted on a map but not really there, the GPS provider has no way of knowing. So don't just blame the GPS maker for short comings.
  • I agree with dewey02... not just Garmin... ANY GPS... know where you are going... and let the GPS do the details.

Magellan, made way to many mistakes when I started using GPS...
  • Don't completely rely on it though.
We have the 760 LMT and it usually works fine, but every now and then it takes you on a joyride that goes way out of the way when trying to get to a destination.
  • depending on trailer length and material used. an extension cable maybe needed for camera... mine did...

but I have the older Garmin 2597LMT
and using the BC-30 camera that I installed last month.
