Roadtrip SD Directv won't connect

I have a Winegard Roadtrip SD with Directv. My dish was working fine. Then my kids hit the power button for the dish, it moved, and now won't connect. I talked with Winegard and the only thing they suggested was checking the voltage out the box and at the dish - both are 18v. I have talked to Directv three times and they are no help. It seems like you have to get lucky and reach someone who has knowledge on RV satellite set ups.

I have tried connecting with the 3 lnb and the round options, but neither works. When it was working, it was set on the 3 lnb. I have reset the box many times, put the zip code and lon/lat in with no luck.

My FW is parked on top of a hill with no obstructions.

Any ideas on what to do next?

    I truly cannot imagine why. I have been doing it for years and never had a problem. What you say is true if you are trying to pick up the DirecTV HD channels off 99 or 103 but not for the SD channels coming from 101 (and a DirecTV dome can only receive programming from 101).

    That's not been my experience. There have been a few times over the years when the best I could get was in the 70% signal strength and not all channels would come in. Why do you suppose that is?

    Boy, I wish this info was publicised a whole more. Sure would eliminate bunches of questions and postings.

    75% is about right for a Carryout (any small antenna dome so similar) and plenty to enjoy watching TV. The signal is good down to around 50-55 and the picture will be prefect whether you get a 100 or a 60.

    Thanks for the info. My brother recently bought a Carryout and it worked great the first few times he used. But, a couple of weeks ago we were at Point Mugu State Beach and the best he could get was about 75% signal strength. And that was after messing with it a bit. The sky was clear, no wind and I got my manual dish to 92%. Go figure.

    Update. Winegard walked me through a bunch of diagnostics. Turns out there is voltage to the circuit board, but no voltage coming out to the LNB. I'm sending the board in for repair. I will update when I hear back for anyone having the same problem.
