I would like to hear how this worked. AT&T is all we get at this place. We would like to hear the good (if any) and bad.

Thanks

Thanks for all the information. This may replace the AT&T air card we have now.

We will give it a test run next week.

You folks are great with quick answers.

Here are a couple of threads that have been posted previously about Straightalk and their hotspots. We have used their phone service for over 5 years and will never go back to one of the other carriers.

I had the T-Mobile hotspot like the one offered on Ebay. I was very unhappy with it, very slow when it would connect, and wouldn't connect when the T-Mobile map said it should. We could use our T-Mobile phones just fine, but the hotspot was very poor.

We got the Straight Talk hotspot and so far it's been doing very well. Not super speedy, but better than the T-Mobile one, and actually connects when it should. And if we don't use it we don't pay anything. The prices/gig of data run higher than some others, but you only buy what you use, when you want to use it. No monthly fees, no service charges, no having to contact someone when you're not going to be using it for a few months. Works great for us.

I have and use T_mobiles Hotspot. Outside populated ares out west coverage is crappy. It serves my purpose though and I love that I can change the amount of data monthly. You can buy a ZTE hotspot for T_MOBILE on EBAY rather inexpensively and the get the T-mobile chip fo $1.00

I'm thinking of getting the Straight Talk Hot-spot but with the Verizon network. I have a Hot spot now on.....T-mobile or At&T(heck, I don't know) but it seldom works in the outlying area's. I do have Straight Talk for my Phone and have been very Happy with it.

Oh,,,the other Hot spot is Internet on the Go which I like only because you can buy x amount of Gig's for a 6 month period...if only it worked when I need it!
