If it is, in fact, related to McAffee, Getting rid of McAffee is both a good idea and dang hard to do (I have done it on both the machines I have here, but I am not comfortable telling you how I did it).

I am very anti-McAffee have been since day one for reasons I'd rather not go into, but there are many other programs out there.

I use a layered approach there is an Anti-Virus program that is live even as I type One of the free ones, (one of the better free ones) and a second one on standby I will activate most likely tonight and scan the comptuer with. There are other programs that protect me.. Some people tell me with the level of protection I have on these machines I am paraniod,,, however I have ticked off some 14 year old hackers and they really are out to get me so.... (Well they were, they are adults now and hopefully law abiding, but once I got everything installed.. Well)

That's probably not a bad thing to be watching for. How long can the printing presses continue?
  • Something strange on the computer screen, and it would happen to be the forums. :B
  • Thanks tkcas01 that make sense I have both. And I have just noticed at about the same time that I started getting that green M on all websites I visit and when I click on it it goes to McAfee site advisor

I was hoping that it wasn't a Korean hack or something like that....I have nothing to do with SONY :E HA..

  • It is a bug related to McAfee and Firefox. Those are Asian language characters of some sorts. If you turn off the web site checking feature in McAfee they will go away and hopefully McAfee will fix it soon.
