Strange Computer Glitch

Strange thing happened to me today...just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. On my Windows 7 desktop computer, I glanced at the clock in the lower right corner of the task bar. The time was showing one hour faster than it actually was. It wasn't that way yesterday. I double-checked my time zone setting and it was set to ET with DST enabled, as it should be. I checked our two laptops, one using Win 7 and the other using Win 10, and they both showed the correct time. I went out to run errands, gone about 90 minutes, came home, and the clock had reset itself to the correct time, and stayed that way for the rest of the day. Have anyone ever seen this happen? Any idea what would cause this? Thanks.

At least I'm not the only one who has experienced it.

Time setting was fine today. Score one for the Gremlins!

Bumpy...there's no such thing as "too much Kentucky bourbon."

  • System board may be set wrong. The OS normally uses that for it's time, but Windows may also be syncing to a NIST time source.
