Our new Nuvi is good for the same reasons, but if you are lost at night,in the rain, when you can't see the road signs, IF any, the Nuvi will lead you into trouble every time!

Where are folks traveling that there's all this trouble with new roads? I'm rather new when it comes to trailering, with a paltry 20,000 miles under my belt, or should I say wheels? I use the ancient 2013 version of S&T all the time and haven't once been surprised by a road that that didn't exist or didn't go where it was supposed to.

I have not been able to find the "save as" function in Delorme. If you have found it perhaps you could tell me where it is.
At the bottom of the open map there are the tabs: Map Files,Find, Print, etc. Click on the "Map Files" tab, then the "File" button. This will open the menu that includes: New, Open, Save, Save as, etc.
Hope this helps. Here's a pic that may help.
Thank you, I'm embarrassed that I wasn't able to find it. One less thing I have to learn. :B

All mapping programs have a 2, or so, year cycle to update their maps. I really don't know how long it takes Delorme to update their maps. I live in the boonies and not much changes around here. I guess I'll find out how long it takes.
The impression I was left with is that Delorme can't justify the maintenance costs but I could be reading to much into the posts.

Delorme has POI's but I'm not sure to what you're referring.
Did you mean saving to a different format, such as .gpx, when you referred to not having a "Save as" function?
I was referring to saving a file (map) with a different name. That way I could modify the map without losing the original or starting from scratch. Most Windows programs have this function.
Yes Delorme has some POIs but S & T has many more and of different types.
Okay I see. Yes Delorme has the "Save as" function which will allow you to save a map with a different name. You can open a previously saved map, edit it, and then save it with a different name so you don't overwrite the original.
Truth be told, I've never paid much attention to the POI's available, so I can't comment much on that.

I haven't used Street Atlas but from posts on their forums it's been many years since the maps have been updated other than some minor updates. Food for thought.
