Switch from Direct TV to Dish

Just purchased a 2012 Fleetwood Bounder 35K with a dome satellite installed. It is set up from factory for direct tv. I have dish at home. I want to know if the dome sat can be reconfigured to work with dish receivers? Thanks for any info
  • Yes. Just go up on the roof, pull off the dome, and change the jumpers.

No matter the dome manufacturer, all domes are capable of receiving the signal for DirecTV or Dish. The receiver you plan to use and the dome model will only make a difference in how you setup the dome. Most Dish users use the 211 series receiver with their dome but if you have a more advanced receiver they will work with many (but not all) domes. Dish DVR style receivers do not work well with a dome but can work to some degree.
  • The Domes were designed to use with DirecTV, Dish or ExpressVu (Canada). There are a set of 8 switches inside the dome. Look up the model and then flip them according to Chart.

This is not correct for all domes. It is true if you have a Winegard dome but not how you setup the others.
