Trouble with updated iOS 11

I updated to iOS11 and 11.1 on my iPad. I see no positives at all. The negatives are the stupid multi step process to close an app and battery life has been reduced by at least 25%.

Why don't they have a simple way to revert to previous software if you don't like the latest?

Had a 6, now have an 8 and DW has a 7+ and all work fine on iOS 11.1. No issues texting with our son who has Samsung Galaxy (G8 or whatever the new one is).

Don't really like Apple as a corporation, but their products work well. Got tired of my laptop crashing and freezing su dumped Windows and went with MacOS. Now my Macbook, DW's Macbook and our phones all just work together with no drama and no need for constant reboots. Tablet in MH is still Android, but thinking about iPad.

Don't like being locked into a proprietary system, but like even less when my equipment doesn't work. Ran Linux for a while but DW had problems learning the new system. She had no issues withe the Apple stuff.

I have a 7 and have not experienced that issue in either of my vehicles. I switched it off once and that was it. It works seamlessly with the primitive Bluetooth in my'11 GMC HD and it becomes one with the virtual cockpit in my Audi.

Why would I take it personal? I dont care what he or anybody else buys.
He made a post that was full of misinformation and incorrect. He didnt know what he was talking about and was using derogatory terms about how ignorant a company is in his untrue statements.

Kind of like Apple users who post rude remarks and misinformation, and hatred of MS on posts here.

As someone who owns an iPhone it’s obvious to me that he (donn128) doesn’t own one. Yet he comments on a feature of the phone which he knows nothing about. There are at least 9 deaths in the US every day caused by distracted drivers. Apple puts in a feature which can save lives, yet he can’t see past his hate of the company to admit this. I upgraded to IOS 11 the day it was released. So far, it has worked great. I didn't even know the Do Not Disturb While Driving was in this version. My car is my office, so I make and accept calls all the time via built-in Bluetooth. I just looked and my DNDWD is set to manual, which I did not do. So this feature has been a non-issue.

You can change it and only have to do it once. Not everytime.

I take it you don’t have an iPhone. When I get in the car I don’t have to do a thing with the phone. If I wanted to text and drive for some idiotic reason, then I could by clicking “I’m not Driving” when I pick up the phone. You say Apple execs are ignorant for having this feature enabled. They are doing this to discourage texting while driving and hopefully save some lives. The IGNORANT people would be those who think they can text and drive without endangering the safety of others.
