It won't help you today, but it was in the news here in Canada that Verizon may be interested in entering the Canadian cellphone market. Any increased competition will be welcome, as Canadian cellphone charges are among the highest in the world.

I not only called them, I was in the Verizon store 2 weeks ago....They discontinued the Canada add on program last month and now if you want a very limited amount of minutes, it is $89 a month. Not from the internet chat forum, directly from the manager of the Verizon store.

Also, adding a "Canada Plan" to your account will result in losing your grandfathered unlimited data plan if you are lucky enough to have one.
