Verizon 55 Plus Plan

If you are 55 years old and older and a Florida resident, Verizon just announced their 55 Plus Plan. If you have two lines, you get unlimited data, talk, and text, no throttling, in the US, Mexico and Canada for $40 per line a month. I just converted our Verizon plan to this and saved a good bit, plus we have unlimited data now.

If you are 54 you do not qualify! Just like the T-Mobile plan it's for folks 55 and over.
What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?

wa8yxm,
The T-Mobile plan is supposed to be $60/month for 2 lines. What is the added $20?

Think the $60 is for the data and 1 device, and extra 20 is for the second device.

Couldn't find the answer at the Verizon website without jumping through hoops, but I know I pay a device fee to ATT of $20.

How fast they copy T-mobile only cost more

T-Movblie 2 lines, Unlmited everything to the phone (See note) 10 gigs Wi-Fi hot spot high speed, unlimited "Throttled" 55/month.

NOTE That I do not notice slow down when I Hit 10 gigs nor will I notice the speed up tomorrow running multiple computers (Tomorrow is my reset day)

NOTE: I did get a note when I hit 50 gigs that if the TOWER is congested I may get knocked down a notch. Again, not noticing it

With Taxes and fees it's 87/month,, you start at 80 and add taxes and fees (Michigan Tax/fee list)

isn't ATT dominate on the east coast
and Fl is heavy with east coast retirees

i would guess that vzw is trying to increase their market share, with those likely to use less mobile data, by making an attractive offer, the 55+ seniors are more likley to use GPS and not stream movies on the phone
it could be test/pilot plan, if it works out the way vzw wants
they might expand it to other areas
VZW is dominate here in the west, i don't think they will bring it to calif
I can explain it to you.
But I Can Not understand it for you !

It looks like the only requirement other than age is a Florida billing address, so fulltimers using a Florida remailing address would likely be eligible.
