Verizon Gone -- next best??

Got tired of over-billing, Robot calls that never resolve the issue, and three trips to Corp Office ... even two hour long conversations with "problem resolution real voice" ... will not bore anyone with Loooooong story - but after over ten years of phone and hotspot, Verizon is dead to me !!

What is the next best coverage for phone ONLY, do not need internet or hotspot on it - just for one phone line for emergencies and messages. Mostly in Florida, but some travel - when traveling, I only care if it takes messages so I can call in and get contacts.

Wife does all the family stuff on her Android - just need a phone that only does a phone call.

Thanks M44

My little Tracfone does me just fine on trips. Buy airtime as you need it.
Phone around 10.00 for a fliptop and 20.00 for a 60 min card (good for 90 days) which basically is 30 minutes of talk time. If you do not renew it timely, you lose the number, so you have to keep up with that. Tracfone cards are sold in a lot of stores.

I don't know what that means. Verizon's been very good to me.

X2 not problems what so ever

Try dealing with their customer no service. just as the OP has seen.

different people, different experiences. we've been VZW customers for close to 17-years and one reason why is their superb customer service. i'm sorry the OP us having issues.

Total wireless is the best deal out there using Verizon towers coverage wise

Straight Talk would be my suggestion. They have phones that use Verison and AT&T. You would want Verison towers. Worked everywhere in Fl for us except the Everglades.

Consumer Cellular offers very price competitive service. (AT&T)

consumer cellular. essentially a pay-as-you-go plan. their phones use either Verizon or AT&T but you deal with CC and not the backbone carriers.

You could use Straight Talk on the Verizon network
