You mostly have noted the differences! The main thing about the Tailgater is that it will also only work with a VIP211K or 411K and it will only work with one receiver.
There is special software in the Tailgater that makes it a bit easier to setup if you move your receiver between home and RV as well.
Both antennas are made by King Controls.
