What are good apps for use on tablets when traveling?

The other day when I had to get a new phone, the phone store was giving away "free" tablets. The tablet is a Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0. It has cell service and supposedly GPS capability.

It's free in the sense I had to add a new line.

I will mostly use it when we are on the road with the travel trailer.

So the question I have is what are some good apps to have on the tablet as we motor across America? I'll be adding Gas Buddy for sure. What is a good app for finding campgrounds? Also, a good weather warning app would come in handy, especially while we're out in the Great Plains and Rocky Mountains. Next would be a good app for warning about traffic in the area we're driving. And lastly, a good map app, such as Google Map, possibly.

Are there any others that might be useful?

Thanks.

I have a good navigator in the right seat to do the looking.

View it similar to your smart phone with bigger screen - might not be able to call/text but the other apps should work the same. If you haven't been using RV type apps on your smart phone - chances are your not going to be using them on your tablet either.

A few of my favorite apps, nothing to do with actual travelling, but great brain food are:

Unblock Me
Brain Games
Flow Free
Unblock Train and my very favorite and most difficult
Slide Box Puzzle

All awesome time consuming challenging apps.

Weather Underground & Accuweather---sometimes one of them won't work and the other one will

GasBuddy

Waze--for traffic--gives you real-time updates

Google Maps

I agree with looking at a map beforehand. But I also check traffic any time I make a rest stop, or before hitting a congested area, to see if an alternate route would be helpful. Has saved me a lot of time and frustration.

We use allstays.com, rvparky.com, rvparkreviews.com for camp-ground info and co-pilot for gps. For hiking etc. I use backcountrynavigator.com on my phone.

Torque I like to monitor the motor. Rvparks reviews is good for campgrounds. Heck, you might as well add a couple of GPS apps too.
