Wingard X1 or Tailgater
I am looking at either the Winegard X1 or the Dish Tailgater. I know the X1 is limited to the western us. But what about the Tailgater? We live and travel mainly in the west.

The X1 and the Tailgater have similar parameters. They both use Western satellites only, they both have similar sized antennas and they both require the 211/411 series receivers to operate. The X1 will allow you to connect 2 receivers while the Tailgater allows only 1 but otherwise, there is not much difference. The X2 is a much larger housing, but would be my choice even if the only place I could find to store it was inside somewhere until we could get to our next stop. The large antenna and the EA/WA/72.7 options cannot be had with any other portable.
